Hot Springs
State Park is a beautiful place. Buffalo roam around for visitors to
see. Mountain Bluebirds decorate the fence posts. After a rain, the
rainbow against the red hills is quite a site. This is a tiny plot located
within the borders of Hot Springs State Park. It is not well groomed, but
protected with a fence and low rock wall. Follow the south route through
the State Park behind the swimming pool. Continue uphill and turning to
the north, and you will reach the plot located on the East edge of the pavement.
Wood steps lead up to the plot. There is a nice, large stone in the middle
of the plot that reads:

Stone R. Gallerno. May 28 1895. There is a
metal marker that says in memory of the early pioneers of 1893. There is
more history available about Smoky Row at the Hot Springs County Library in
Thermopolis, Wyoming, including a file of newspaper articles that detail those
buried there.
